Agency intensifies statutory inspections to ensure legal measurement compliance in the petroleum sector. Lusaka, Zambia24  - 17July 2025 – The Zambia Metrology Agency (ZMA) has officially launched Phase Two of its nationwide statutory verification exercise targeting fuel dispensing instruments, in a move aligned with its legal mandate to enforce accuracy, fairness, and transparency in trade measurements. Sandra Mwila, Senior Public Relations Officer at ZMA, said the exercise will involve inspections of petroleum measuring instruments at fuel depots and service stations across the country. “These verifications ensure the accuracy of measurements and protect consumers in Zambia’s petroleum sector,” she said.
