“President Hakainde Hichilema deliberately introduced these grants to empower youth and women,” he said.

He urged beneficiaries to use the funds responsibly to transform their economic status and communities, while apologizing for the delayed disbursement.

Chibombo Town Council Secretary, Grace Kanyata, speaking through Denny Sichula, the District Agriculture Coordinating Officer, called for accountability in using the funds.

Katuba CDF Committee Chairperson, Kennedy Shanang’ombe, appealed to beneficiaries to stick to their initial project proposals.

Martha Malembeka, a cooperative member, thanked the government for increasing CDF allocations and encouraged fellow members to invest the funds rather than distribute them among themselves.

The handover underscores government efforts to boost grassroots economic development through targeted support for youth and women entrepreneurs.
