... As Lushomo Kaumba (22) Embarks on Universal Mission

Lusaka, Zambia – June 27, 2025 – At just 22 years old, Lushomo Kaumba is making bold strides in both the legal world and the world of pageantry. 

The former Miss Peace Zambia 2024 has officially been crowned Universal Woman Zambia 2025, earning her the honor of representing the country at the prestigious Universal Woman pageant, slated for 1st to 11th August 2025 in Jaipur, India.

Born in Choma and raised in various parts of Zambia, Lushomo is a woman of remarkable versatility — a lawyer, model, actress, and an unwavering advocate for education, healthcare access, and poverty eradication. 

A recent Bachelor of Laws graduate from the University of Zambia, she is currently interning at a leading law firm as she prepares to launch her career in legal advocacy.


But her ambitions stretch far beyond the courtroom. “I believe in using every platform available to bring attention to the issues that affect us most — especially education, healthcare access, and poverty alleviation,” she said. 

Pageantry, she explains, is not just about beauty but about voice, visibility, and purpose.

Her rise to the Universal Woman crown has sparked significant interest and support from Zambia’s creative and corporate communities. 

From wardrobe to styling, some of the country’s finest talent is stepping up to ensure she dazzles on the international stage.

Michael Garden of Beauty will be providing all her hair styling needs, promising a blend of confidence and elegance. 

Her wardrobe will be a showcase of Zambian design brilliance, featuring contributions from Fancy Nancy Designs, Zororo Bespoke, Believe Designs ZM, and Melser Kim Designs, each infusing her outfits with a vibrant mix of tradition and modern sophistication.

The story of her journey — from rehearsals to community projects and the final event in India — will be captured in high definition by Nard Films, a dynamic media house with operations in South Africa and now Zambia.

They have taken on full responsibility for all official video content required by the pageant organizers.

As preparations intensify, Kaumba and her team are calling on the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts, as well as the Ministry of Tourism, to be part of this momentous journey that puts Zambia’s beauty, talent, and purpose on the global map.

With poise, purpose, and patriotism, Lushomo Kaumba is not just stepping onto a global stage — she’s stepping up for a generation.
