.... NDC dismisses M4CE Simuyemba’s remarks, urges unity.

Lusaka, Zambia – 23-02-2025 - The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dismissed statements circulating on social media attributed to Kaluba Musenda Simuyemba, President of the Movement for Change and Equality (M4CE) party.

In a statement, NDC Spokesperson Christopher Katepu clarified that Simuyemba’s views do not represent the UPND Alliance.

As Secretary to the UPND Alliance Council of Presidents (CoPs), Simuyemba is expected to express personal opinions without attributing them to the entire alliance.

“The UPND Alliance remains strong under President Hakainde Hichilema,” Katepu stated.

“Our Party President, Joseph Kasonde, who also serves as Alliance Chairman for Mobilization, emphasizes unity and internal dialogue to resolve differences.”

The NDC urged Simuyemba to address concerns diplomatically within Alliance structures rather than through public statements.

The party reaffirmed that Simuyemba’s remarks reflect only M4CE’s position and reiterated its commitment to constructive engagement within the UPND Alliance.
