Matero, Zambia – (25-12-2024) – The Christmas spirit was alive at Matero Level One Hospital when Evans Mukobela, an aspiring candidate for Matero Constituency, visited the maternity ward to distribute baby hampers to new mothers and their newborns.

The thoughtful initiative aimed to ease the challenges often faced by families during this period while fostering care and community spirit.

The initiative, centered on providing essential support, included hampers filled with practical items to help the mothers during the early days of motherhood.

Speaking during the event, Mukobela expressed the deeper meaning of the hampers, describing them as a gesture of love and compassion.

“These hampers are a symbol of love, care, and warmth. Let this Christmas remind us of the blessings we have received,” Mukobela said.

He encouraged families to treasure the experience of new beginnings, adding, “To the mothers, embrace every milestone with love for your babies. And to the newborns, welcome to the world. May your lives be filled with happiness.”

Mukobela’s visit not only highlighted the importance of celebrating Christmas but also underscored the need for community leaders to actively engage in initiatives that support local families.
