.....Bowa accuse Ukraine war for the spiking fuel prices

Lusaka -(30-06-22-Zambia24) - The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has effected an upward adjustment of Petrol, Desiel and Kerosine effective midnight tonight.
ERB board chairperson who announced the adjustment at a media briefing told journalists that the pump prices of petroleum products is K1.80/litre for Petrol, K2.37/litre for Diesel and K2.51/litre for Kerosene.

He explained that the adjustment in the pump prices is due to the unprecedented increase in the price of petroleum products on the international market.
Bowa auggested that the marginal appreciation of the Kwacha of the local currency has made against the major world currency uas little or no effects on the fuel prices.

The said the other contribution factor to the fuel hike us the conflict in Ukraine which has continued to push the finished fuel products upwards.
The prices at the world markets have gone up from the last time the regulation had a meeting.
