Tone dawn on accusations

Sikota advised the new dawn administration to focus on developmental issues

Lusaka - 16-05-22 - (Zambia24) - Lawyers representing Chanda Kabwe have advised the new dawn administration to focus on developmental issues that follow speculative issues running in the minds of the people.

Sakwiba Sikota told journalists in an interview that it was a waste of time for the ACC to summon his clients for questioning over the case which they did not understand.

He said his client was not arrested and or given a formal warning and caution to indicate that an arrest is likely to take place shortly.

He asked the journalists to go and ask the ACC investigators because he did not understand why Chanda Kabwe his client summoned in the first place.

He said is no need for the government to use the ACC to continue following cases that do not exist.

He wondered why the ACC wanted Chanda Kabwe to appear before the investigators for questioning because there is nothing meaningful that was recorded from the interview that was made.

He regretted that a very bad culture is being developed in the country where citizens are being summoned for questioning over unfounded allegations by some unscrupulous people bent on wanting to tarnish the image of innocent citizens.

He said there is was nothing concrete that the ACC recorded from the interview they had with his client

No arrest was affected in him because there is no criminal offense his client has committed to merit an arrest.

FOCURRAZ Calls for Action Against Exploitative Practices

Texila Students Raise Cancer Awareness

Lusaka, Zambia24 – (6-11-2024) - Medical students from Texila American University Zambia (TAUZ) held a Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign in Lusaka’s Lilayi and Chalala areas, promoting early detection through screenings and self-examinations. The campaign featured a march along Lilayi Road, with students displaying placards about breast cancer prevention.
