Lusaka, Zambia24 – (10-06-2026) -- The Zambia Diaspora Chamber of Commerce (ZDCC) has approved its president, Freud Chinza Musanu, to attend a regional diaspora investment workshop in Kenya later this month.

The workshop will take place in Mombasa from June 22 to 24, 2026. It is organised by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the COMESA Secretariat, with support from the African Development Bank (AfDB).

The meeting will bring together diaspora investors, governments, financial institutions and development partners to explore investment opportunities across key regional trade corridors in Eastern and Southern Africa.

Key sectors on the agenda include transport, logistics, agriculture, renewable energy, manufacturing and trade finance.

Musanu said the workshop will give diaspora investors a platform to engage with stakeholders and identify investment opportunities that could benefit Zambia and the wider region.

He highlighted renewable energy as one of his key focus areas, particularly small-scale projects aimed at supporting rural and peri-urban communities.

Organisers say the forum is designed to strengthen partnerships, attract diaspora capital and improve access to investment opportunities in COMESA member states.

After the workshop, Musanu is expected to present a report to ZDCC members outlining potential projects and partnerships relevant to Zambia.
