Missed Exams Rescheduled for April/May


Takaizya say affected Evelyn Hone College students will now be registered to sit for the TEVET April/May 2026 examinations after missing the Nov/Dec 2025 session due to registration challenges.

Lusaka, December 9, 2025 – The Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) has opened the Learner Data Management System (LDMS) ahead of schedule to allow students from Evelyn Hone College of Applied Arts and Commerce who missed the November/December 2025 examinations to register for the rescheduled April/May 2026 session.

According to the statement issued by TEVETA’s Public Relations Unit, the affected students were unable to sit for the previous examinations due to technical and administrative challenges at the college, which resulted in their non-registration on the LDMS. As a result, their names did not appear on official examination registers and examination entry slips were not generated, preventing them from entering examination rooms.

TEVETA Director General Cleophas Takaiza said the authority only recognises students registered on the LDMS as eligible to sit for TEVET examinations. “The LDMS is the official system that students must be registered on to be eligible to sit for examinations and TEVET assessments. Institutional systems like Study Master are for internal administration and do not guarantee registration for examinations,” Mr. Takaiza explained.

He further confirmed that TEVETA has taken steps to ensure the affected students are not disadvantaged. “Opening the LDMS before the 2026 academic year is meant to facilitate timely registration of the affected students by the college for them to be eligible to sit for the April/May 2026 examinations,” Mr. Takaiza said (TEVETA statement, December 9, 2025).

TEVETA said the decision to administer a special examination session for the affected students followed consultations with students, student union representatives, and college management. The examinations will be conducted at no additional cost to the students (TEVETA statement, December 9, 2025).

Mr. Takaiza also urged Evelyn Hone College to ensure that all affected students are fully registered on the LDMS and that their Continuous Assessments (CAs) are uploaded promptly. “We depend on biodata on the LDMS to plan for examination and assessment processes. It is crucial that the college uploads CAs for the affected students in a timely manner to support the smooth processing of their results,” he said (TEVETA statement, December 9, 2025).

The Director General further advised students to check their LDMS registration status and personal particulars. “We call upon affected students to ensure they are duly registered on the LDMS, their CAs are uploaded, and their particulars are correct to avoid any further inconvenience in sitting for the upcoming April/May 2026 examinations,” Mr. Takaiza said (TEVETA statement, December 9, 2025).

TEVETA confirmed that the LDMS will remain open until March 7, 2026, to allow other training institutions to register students for the next academic year’s examinations (TEVETA statement, December 9, 2025).
