THE LAW AND MY FREEDOM PREMIERES

Lusaka, Zambia24 - (13-10-2025) - The highly anticipated feature film “The Law and My Freedom” will premiere on December 19th, 2025, marking a major milestone in Zambia’s growing film industry.
Film producer Emmanuel Kawina told journalists at a media briefing that the film seeks to promote the rule of law and inspire positive societal change by discouraging criminal misconduct and championing integrity, transparency, and justice.
“The primary objective of this film is to abhor criminal misconduct as it inspires positive change through its narrative in promoting the rule of law,” Kawina stated. “It challenges audiences to become agents of change and embrace a culture of transparency, integrity, and justice.”
He revealed that “The Law and My Freedom” was produced using state-of-the-art filming equipment, a talented cast, and a seasoned production crew to ensure international-quality standards. The film, he said, features high-definition cinematography, crisp visuals, immersive sound design, and engaging storytelling that will captivate audiences both locally and abroad.
“Our experienced team has brought depth, creativity, and authenticity to the story,” he said. “The performances and production quality will raise the bar for Zambian filmmaking.”
Kawina expressed gratitude to the Government of Zambia, through the Zambia Army – MICA, the Zambia Police, and the National Arts Council, for their collaboration during the production process. He also thanked Kansanshi Mine and other cooperating partners for their support and contributions that made the project possible.
“To our cast and crew, your dedication, passion, and hard work have turned this project into a masterpiece,” Kawina added.
The producer further announced that special travel arrangements had been made for guests attending the premiere — transport will be provided for Lusaka-based attendees with ordinary and VIP tickets, while VVIP ticket holders from outside Lusaka will receive return flight tickets.
“This film is a testament to the power of storytelling and the impact it can have on our lives,” Kawina concluded.
“The Law and My Freedom” promises to deliver a thought-provoking and emotionally powerful narrative, positioning Zambian cinema as a force for both entertainment and social transformation.
