In his opening remarks, Freud C. Musanu, President of the ZDCC, emphasized the diaspora’s critical role in Zambia’s development agenda.

- Zambia Diaspora Trust Fund – A platform to supplement development aid, drive SME financing, and support priority economic sectors.
- Diaspora Business Incorporation Reforms – Simplifying company registration for Zambians abroad, including name reservation and incorporation with minimal upfront payments.
- Diaspora Knowledge Transfer Program – Establishing platforms for Zambian professionals abroad to share expertise in sectors like renewable energy, agriculture, healthcare, and technology.
- Investment and Trade Facilitation – Promoting the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) to increase Zambian exports to the U.S., fostering diaspora-led industrialization, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and franchising agreements.
- Infrastructure and Digital Transformation – Expanding renewable energy solutions, advocating for smart cities, and improving broadband access to drive digital innovation.
