ZMP Addresses Concerns Over Leadership Visibility

By Francis Maingaila

Lusaka, Zambia24 –  (8-10-2024) - Zambia Must Prosper (ZMP) has responded to criticisms regarding the perceived lack of impact by its President, Kelvin Bwalya Fube (KBF), in the Zambian political arena.

In an exclusive interview with Zambia24, Daniel Nonde, the party's Media Director, stressed the significance of prioritizing substance over visibility in political leadership.

The statement follows remarks made on a candidate's Facebook page questioning KBF’s effectiveness.

While acknowledging KBF's experience and vision for Zambia, Nonde asserted that the party is actively engaged in building a strong foundation rather than merely seeking public attention.

“Our leader has been working diligently to engage with citizens, understand their concerns, and develop policies that address their needs,” Nonde stated.

He highlighted that KBF's approach may not be as visible as some would prefer, but it is rooted in a commitment to building a grassroots movement.

Zambia Must Prosper's strategy focuses on three key areas: engaging with citizens by fostering community involvement and listening to the public's concerns; building coalitions with like-minded organizations to present a united front against the ruling party; and clear communication to articulate a compelling vision for the future of Zambia.

Nonde acknowledged that some members of the public may be disappointed with the current state of affairs but reassured them of ZMP’s dedication to making a meaningful impact.

He called on all Zambians to join the party in their efforts to create a better future for the nation.

“We must focus on building a brighter future together, rather than merely criticizing the present,” Nonde concluded.
